Ed Invent – Building Ed Tech starting with the teachers #EIBrighton

edinvent

Back in April I wrote about the need to explore pipelines for Ed Tech ideas from the problems and challenges faced by teachers and learners.

Next month, we are continuing to develop ideas in this area by running an Ed Invent event in Brighton. The first event will bring together teachers with ideas for developing their teaching and learning using technology. They will meet with other innovative teachers, and mentors who have experience of turning such ideas into reality, to develop their ideas into pitch-able business propositions for our judges.

The best will win prizes, but also feed in to a forthcoming Startup Weekend event in the autumn, where we will bring in developers, designers and entrepreneurs to form teams with educators and turn their ideas into investable businesses.

We’re looking for innovative teachers who can join us in Brighton on July 12th, if that is you then head over to our event page for more info and to book a free place.

We’re hoping to explore how we can encourage and support people to turn ideas firmly founded in the classroom into ed tech that can scale and spread, benefitting teachers and learners on a scale far beyond its beginnings.
