Last year the South West Digital Educators conference and awards drew together the best in digital teaching and learning from across the region. On July 9th at Plymouth University we will once again be celebrating digital learning in the region.

Our keynote speakers will this year be Gary Spracklen, one of last year’s winners and ‘Director of Digital Learning and Innovation’ at Stephen Heppell’s ‘IPACA academy’, Associate Professor and influential blogger Steve Wheeler from Plymouth University and E-Learning Co-ordinator and digital innovator Ian Usher, all sharing inspiring takes on the theme of the ‘Impact on learning’ that digital can have.

Our workshops will be provided by 9 award nominated educators, sharing their projects and how they have made an impact on learners. We are currently looking for nominations for these educators, which are open to anyone working in the South West of England. Up for consideration are any projects which involve learning using digital technology, but our main consideration is assessing the impact that these have had on learners.

Full details and the nomination form are available on the Digital Educators website digitaleducators.co.uk

Nominating your own project is fine, further details on the terms and the timeline of the awards, as well as the conference itself, are on the website.

There will be prizes to be announced for winners and runners up, but more importantly the 9 shortlisted entries will have the opportunity to share their good practice with teachers from across the region, and become a part of our efforts to document and share the best in digital learning in this area.
